64yo Deadlifts 175lbs at Mountain Fitness

Lynn sets the gym record for W60+ at 175lbs today. “I love this,” she told me as we kicked the rubber plates after her lift. We got here by adding a few pounds each month to regular sets of 3 reps or 5 reps (along with lots of other barbell work, some kettlebell swings and med ball throws, and two days a week of Zumba). Today was our first time looking for a max by testing six sets of 1 rep and adding 5lbs each set.
